The Ring Joint Gasket mainly used in high pressure, temperature applications in the petroleum industry. Mostly used for Valves, Pipes and Flanges.
Standard R type are accordance with API 6A and ASME B 16.2 size. For both Oval and Octagonal configurations. They can interchange on the modern octagonal type grooves flange.
RX Type ring joint gaskets are manufactured to fit the API 6B flange"s groove, interchangeable with R(oval) and R(octagonal) series, bear pressure can reach to 15000 PSI, so these gaskets performance excellent in 6B flange, suitable to the higher pressures with higher vibrations and heavier weights of these units.
BX type ring joint gaskets are designed for BX flange grooves only, it is suitable for higher-pressure ratings starting at 2, 000 lbs and ending with 20, 000 lbs, incorporate a pressure balance hole to ensure equalization of pressure which may get trapped in the grooves.
